Anne Clark GRSM ARSM (Piano Teaching) Cert Ed - Piano / Music Theory
Anne is one of our piano teachers. She graduated in 1974 from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester with Shirley Blakey and Professor Walter Joysz and has been teaching ever since. In 2011 Anne became a freelance accompanist within the Vocal and Operatic Department at Birmingham Conservatoire. Regularly accompanying musicians from around the county for graded music exams and concerts. Anne is also Musical Director of the Shifnal and District Male Choir. 
Now busier than ever, Anne teaches students of all ages and levels.

Marion Holland - Flute / Oboe / Clarinet / Bassoon / Recorder / Violin / Viola / Piano / Music Theory / Saxophone
Marion was born in London and studied at Trinity College. Principally an oboist, she has over 35 years experience of music teaching and has spent the majority of her career tutoring a variety of instruments, performing with orchestras and chamber groups, and playing piano accompaniment for examinations. As a composer she has published several of her own pieces too, and enjoys writing music for teaching and for friendly ensembles. Being a multi-instrumentalist she teaches Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Recorders, Violin, Viola, Piano and Music Theory. 
Marion likes to perform with regional orchestras and ensembles, loving serious Chamber Music most of all, and playing principally Oboe, Cor Anglais and Viola at local events.

Jenni Crawford Vocal / Drama / Piano
Jenni studied music and education at Birmingham University(B.Ed), then advanced vocal studies at Birmingham Conservatoire . In 2005 graduated with a PGCert in Dyslexia from University of York.

She has over 30 years experience teaching music and performing arts at local schools and colleges, in vocals, piano, GCSE,A level music curriculum and BTEC dance/ movement.

Jenni has performed as soprano soloist for many major local choral groups. Credits include- Wolverhampton Civic choir, ((Messiah, Rutter Requiem), Wombourne and District, Walsall Choral, Brierley Hill Choral, Market Drayton Choral,Wolverhampton male voice choir, Icknield male voice choir.Bristol Choral, (Mozart Requiem), Finham Choral Coventry.(Haydn Missa Brevis).

Opera credits include Belinda -Dido and Aeneas, Marcelina- Fidelio , Zerlina -Don Giovanni,Mozart.

As the resident soprano soloist with Birmingham Bach Choir for 20 years Jenni performed Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (2008) at Symphony hall with Emma Kirby. Birmingham post review -‘ A Charming soprano in the echo aria’

Other credits -musical director for Trinity Operatic, (1998-2000) and vocal coach for Bridgnorth Male voice choir.(2013-current).

Jenni loves working at TMS and finding creativity and untapped potential within her students . Teaching musical theatre, classical and popular singing, drama/ movement and piano. Jenni places emphasis on a good vocal technique, to include breathing, posture, placement movement and interpretation.

Ryan Yard BMus.Hons QTS - Piano / Music Theory / Composition
Ryan is a composer and pianist with a 1st class honours degree in composition from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Ryan has frequently performed at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff and has released five studio albums. Before his degree, Ryan studied piano with Mark Tanner and continued his piano studies whilst at Music College.
Ryan has QTS achieved by completing a PGCE in Secondary Education and has had over seven years mainstream classroom music teaching experience.
Ryan continues to compose and is currently developing his own series of piano books for young beginners as well as other music book publishing.

Gary Howell DipLCM B.Sc (Hons) - Piano / Keyboards /Music Theory
Gary is a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher of music with 20 years experience in ‘one to one’ tuition of piano, electronic keyboards and music theory to people of all ages.

He has had particular successes in teaching students in age range Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 inspiring them to achieve their musical potential, some whom he has tutored from beginner up to Diploma level.

The appreciation, studying and performing of music is an enriching and very rewarding pursuit and it is a great reward for me to see my students develop and achieve their musical potential, with the aim to enhance their enjoyment and appreciation of music for a lifetime.

Olga Lewis - Piano
Olga started her music education at the Gnessin School of Music for gifted students at the age of 5, specialising in Piano. Later she graduated from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music with qualifications both as a Concert Pianist and a teacher.
The Russian Academy is a world renowned music academy in Moscow. She was very fortunate to be a student at two of the World’s leading music schools and this experience has provided her with a wonderful foundation to teach and to inspire younger students. Whilst she is accomplished and experienced at the higher levels, Olga is equally enthusiastic and able to teach students of all age groups. Olga provides a structured yet happy and pleasant teaching experience and aims to captivate her pupils with their potential, and bring out the very best, whether their ability is natural, or one which has to be nurtured. In all cases her aim is to pursue a very high standard and is very comfortable and enjoy discussing and liaising with parents.

Jayne Watt (née Davis) LLCM TD ALCM Hon LCM - Piano / Keyboards / Electronic Organ / Music Theory
Jayne has been a teacher, and representative for the London College of Music and Registry of Guitar Tutors examination boards for over 29 years. Jayne’s professional career began performing at local events and private functions either as a soloist or with her drummer. Jayne teaches keyboard and piano at TMS and worked as a peripatetic keyboard teacher at Thomas Telford School. As LCM representative, she regularly hosts concerts and charity events bringing talented students from recent examination sessions to perform in the Mayor’s Parlour, Wolverhampton. 
Jayne has been Director of TMS since August 2011 and enjoys working with fellow teachers to promote and inspire students to enjoy and progress in their music.

Josie Howells - Piano / Keyboards
Josie has been at TMS since the age of 8, progressing from complete beginner to accomplishing all eight keyboard grade exams with the London College of Music.
She began teaching piano and keyboard at 18 and is now studying BA(Hons) Primary Education with QTS at the University of Chester, which has further enriched her teaching and provided her with frequent classroom experience with children aged 5 to 11. 
Along side teaching, Josie also works in admin at TMS as a secretary.

Stephen Read BA(Ed), ARCM, LGSM, Cert Ed - Trumpet / Cornet / Trombone / French Horn / Euphonium / Piano
Stephen has been teaching music in the Wolverhampton area for over 50 years. He specialises in teaching Piano, Brass Instruments, Electronic Keyboard and Singing to diploma level as well as theory of music. Over the years he has worked for Wolverhampton and Walsall music services and for the last 22 years before his retirement for Staffordshire Music and Performing Arts Service. He also taught for many years at Vernon Lodge Preparatory School and the Royal Wolverhampton School and built up a busy private practice lasting for about 45 years.
He still teaches instrumental music three days a week at Wolverhampton Girls’ High School where he also runs the Brass Ensemble and accompanies the Vocal Ensemble.
He has expertise in composing, arranging, conducting and accompanying and has been a church organist for over 50 years. He is official accompanist and committee member for the Dudley Festival.
His hobbies include drama, photography and motorcycling and he is a member of Albrighton Players, treasurer of the Birmingham & Wolves Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club as well as being an accredited race marshal for motorcycle racing working for the British Superbike series as well as some club racing.

Mark Parry GDLM LTCL - Trumpet / Cornet / Trombone / French Horn / Euphonium / Piano
Mark studied at City of Leeds College of Music where I gained my graduate diploma and this was followed by a postgraduate course at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
During my time at both colleges I also took on freelance work,playing with the Halle Orchestra,BBC Philharmonic,Opera North,London Festival Ballet and Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet Orchestra.
For the last 30+ years I have been teaching at various schools across Shropshire and Mid Wales,covering the whole range of abilities,and during this period have been a tutor with the North Powys Youth Band.
I have also gained a lot of conducting experience,being the Musical Director of Porthywaen Silver Band for 7 years and Wellington Telford Band for 5 years,and have also MD`ed shows for Shrewsbury Operatic Society and TADLOP.

Adam Threlfall - Guitar / Keyboards / Vocal / Drums
Adam has been playing guitar for 24 years and teaching for 13 years. He has been a professional musician since 2007, playing in west end musicals, recording studios and touring around. Shows include, Mamma Mia, Flashdance, Jersey Boys, Chess, Jesus Christ Superstar and Just So. Adam also likes to write and record his own songs.
